Bristol branch covers the centre of the city and its southern and western suburbs,
bordering the Bristol Channel and Bath and Wells DA.
To the north lies the Bristol Rural branch.
There are rings from five to twelve bells available although not all are rung regularly.
Although the Cathedral occupies a central site on College Green perhaps the most visually
impressive tower is that of St Mary, Redcliffe (pictured) situated near to Brunel's Temple
Meads railway station.
Note: The city boasts an unusually high concentration of
towers and is thus extremely popular with outings. In order to ensure that this is not
to the detriment of the local inhabitants the branch operates a co-ordination scheme. Prospective
outing arrangers are advised to contact the outings co-ordinator via either the branch
contact or from the
annual report before attempting to organise anything.
