The Association can reclaim tax paid on subscriptions via the HMRC's Gift Aid scheme. To do this a declaration needs to be made in an acceptable format. You may make it by downloading this paper form, completing it and sending to the Honorary Treasurer; the address is on the form.
Alternatively it is possible to do it via email. However it is important to follow these instructions carefully or the result will not be acceptable to HMRC. The text between the lines below must be copied and pasted into the body of an email, the brackets '[ ]' replaced by appropriate text, and sent direct to the Hon Treasurer, Philip Twentyman, . It must NOT be completed as a separate document and then attached to an email.

Please treat as Gift Aid donations all qualifying gifts, including subscriptions, of money made:-
today Y / N in the past 4 years Y / N in the future Y / N
Please delete Y or N for ALL three options.
I confirm that I have paid or will pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for each tax year that is a least equal to the amount of tax that all the charities that I will donate to will reclaim on my gifts for that tax year. I understand that other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify. I understand the charity will reclaim tax at the standard rate on the gross value of my donation.
