The Gloucester & Bristol Diocesan Association of Church Bell Ringers

Gloucester branch covers the city which gives it its name and the towers in the surrounding area on the banks of the Severn. It borders with Stroud branch in the south, Cheltenham to the east and Tewkesbury in the north. Much of the branch is dominated by the massive Cotswolds outlier of Churchdown Hill, on top of which is St Bartholomew's church (pictured), although the summit is sufficiently wooded to prevent the tower being easily seen. In the city itself, sitting on a mound by the river, is the magnificent cathedral. A picture of this appears elsewhere on the website.
