North Cotswold branch is one of the largest branches in terms of land area in the Association.
Rural in character, it covers the area either side of the Roman Fosse Way and the remnants of the Cotswold
edge as it merges with the Vale of Evesham. The branch has borders with only two other branches in the
Association: Cirencester to the south and
Cheltenham to the west.
However other associations include the Oxford Guild
east, the Four Shires Guild to the north and
the Worcestershire Association in the west.
Situated at a crossroads on its hill the town of Stow-on-the-Wold, of which the church of St Edward
is pictured, has been a major influence upon the area for centuries and is the site of the infamous(?) Stow
horse fair.
