The Gloucester & Bristol Diocesan Association of Church Bell Ringers

The Wotton branch covers the population centres of Wotton under Edge, Cam and Dursley, surrounded by steep wooded hills, and the Vale of Berkeley on the eastern bank of the River Severn. South lies the Bristol Rural branch whereas north are the branches of Gloucester and Stroud. The eastern boundary roughly follows the line of the Cotswold edge which divides the branch from that of Chippenham.

The town of Wotton is situated within one of the narrow valleys which cut into the edge, the church of St Mary the Virgin (pictured) being located on one of the relatively few flat areas. Nearer the river is Berkeley, famous for its castle and for being the birthplace of Edward Jenner who did so much to develop vaccination.
